Sherman McCoy is the remarkably on-the-nose nom de plume of an investment banker who is a devotee of the writings of Tom Wolfe; ironically, “Sherman” is a southerner, and there have been vanishingly few southern men saddled with the baggage of that name since … oh, about 1865. Sherman is an archetypical #millennial who does most of his reading online, and he has elected to begin sharing the best articles that he has read recently (on a roughly weekly basis). Would that he could have commenced this initiative when quarantine lockdowns began in March!

Sherman’s areas of interest include:

Automotive industry news, car reviews, and motorsport (Formula One, sports cars)

Horology (haute or otherwise)

Fine cigars

Long-form articles

Commentary on articles that pique Sherman’s interest will include autobiographical anecdotes, nostalgia, and professional insight where appropriate.

Occasional Bonus Content will feature observations on a more expansive variety of topics.

Thank you for reading!
